Bonga Dlamini, a renowned South African actor, was born on the 15th of June, 1983, making him 40 years old. Originally hailing from Durban, he now resides in Johannesburg.

Career Beginnings

Bonga’s acting career gained significant momentum in 2010 when he emerged as one of the Top 5 finalists on the SABC3 reality competition, the Isidingo Talent Search. This platform provided him with the exposure and experience that would prove invaluable in his subsequent roles.

eKasi: Our Stories

In the same year, he secured the role of Simon in the drama series eKasi: Our Stories. He featured in the episode entitled “My Foreign Husband”, showcasing his talent in a compelling narrative.

It’s for Life

The following year, in 2011, Bonga played the role of Sthe on the Mzansi Magic sitcom, It’s for Life. His performance added a unique dynamic to the show and was well-received by audiences.


In 2013, he made a guest appearance on the Mzansi Magic telenovela isiBaya, further expanding his acting portfolio.

Ashes to Ashes

Bonga continued to diversify his roles and in 2015, he guest-starred as a police captain on the telenovela, Ashes to Ashes.


In 2019, he joined the cast of the SABC2 soapie Muvhango, playing the role of businessman Qhawe. His first appearance in this role was in Season 20, Episode 244, which aired on the 16th of December.
