Buyile Mdladla, born in 1975, is a renowned South African actor, presenter, and pastor. He has made significant contributions to the South African entertainment industry and religious community.
Early Life and Education
Born in a small village outside Ladysmith, KwaZulu-Natal, Buyile Mdladla spent his early years on his grandfather’s farm, engaging in crop farming and livestock rearing. It was during his seventh standard that he discovered his passion for acting.
After completing high school, Buyile pursued his interest in acting at the Wits School of Dramatic Art.

Career Highlights
Acting Career
In his final year at the university, Buyile portrayed the US jazz saxophonist Charlie “Yardbird” Parker. His talent was soon recognized by an agent, leading to his appearance in the soap opera Generations and the youth magazine program on SABC1, Electric Workshop.
Buyile’s acting career flourished as he took on diverse roles in various TV series. He played Walter Sontonga in season one of Wounds Season, Mongi in season two of Zabalaza, and Melusi “Mel” Luthuli in the SABC1 mini-series adaptation of Shakespeare’s King Lear, Izingane zoBaba.
In 2013, he portrayed Tumelo Mojalefa, the youngest son of Phatudi Mojalefa, in the SABC2 soap opera Muvhango. His other notable roles include Mandla in Broken Vows, Themba Biko in Family Secrets, Phillip Moloi in Geraamtes in die Kas, and Percy Zondo in Greed & Desire.
Presenting Career
In addition to acting, Buyile is also known for his presenting skills. He hosted the Live Lotto Draw and co-hosted the SABC2 broadcast show Spirit Sundae. He is most famous for his role as Prince in season three of the SABC3 TV drama series Hard Copy.
Personal Life
Buyile Mdladla was previously married to Carol Mdladla. However, the marriage ended due to allegations of physical abuse and extramarital affairs. Carol accused Buyile of having an affair with a top Generations actress. The couple had been together for thirteen years and had a child named Bathiyane.
Buyile is currently married to Pastor Gomoditswe Mdladla.
Religious Contributions
Buyile is an ordained Pastor and founder of Redemption Ministries International Church. He and his wife run the Midrand-based church, contributing significantly to the religious community.
