Her success transcended radio as she captivated audiences on ETV’s Club 808 and showcased her acting skills in notable television series such as Real Goboza, Scandal, Gaz’lam, Yim’lo, Dineo’s Diary, Gomora, All Access Mzansi, and MoJa Love’s Ishushu. Dineo’s rise to success reached new heights when she took over the Breakfast Show. Her outstanding achievements on the Weekend Breakfast Show positioned her as the ideal successor to Chilli M on the daily show, which aired weekdays from 15:00 to 18:00.

Despite initial skepticism, Dineo defied critics and, within a year, increased the station’s listenership in the coveted 3-6 pm time slot from 600,000 to an impressive 750,000.

As the host of “Dineo Live on Drive,” she not only became YFM’s first female afternoon drive-time jock but also the country’s sole female afternoon drive-time Radio DJ.

The resounding success of her show attracted the attention of esteemed clients such as Love Life, Sanlam, Samsung, Motorola, Vodacom, Cadbury, and Levis, among others. These clients specifically sought Dineo to lead their on-air campaigns, a testament to her undeniable talent and influence.

In 2010, e.tv introduced a vibrant lifestyle and music entertainment show, “Club 808: Make Some Noise,” targeting the youth demographic.

The dynamic duo of Dineo Ranaka and Mo Flava served as presenters, captivating audiences with their infectious energy.

During the show’s launch in August 2010, executive producer Zam Nkosi described it as a fresh, contemporary, and lighthearted production, infused with a playful and cheeky spirit.

With its ongoing success, “Club 808” continues to captivate viewers and remains a popular program on e.tv.

During an episode of Podcast and Chill with MacG, MacG himself made an exciting announcement.

Dineo is set to embark on a new podcasting venture under the Podcast and Chill Network, titled ‘Dineo On Sex and Stuff’.

This captivating show will be available every Tuesday at 3 PM, offering listeners an engaging exploration of various topics. This opportunity arose at the perfect time, coinciding with Dineo’s departure from Kaya FM, opening up a new chapter in her broadcasting career.

Personal Life

Dineo, which translates to “Gifts,” was born in the renowned Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Diepkloof, South Africa.

Notably, Dineo is the sister of the talented South African actress, Manaka Ranaka, adding to the family’s artistic legacy.

3 Different Baby Daddies

The identity of the first man who fathered Dineo Ranaka’s child is not publicly known. This aspect of her personal life has been kept private.

Blacklez, a well-known rapper, is the father of Dineo Ranaka’s second child. Their relationship was quite public, and their breakup made headlines. However, they have since reconciled their differences and currently maintain a good relationship for the sake of their child.

My mind is sooo loud of late, and life is f—— hard, so f—— hard, and I’m trying my best, but it seems my best is not enough.”

Following this alarming revelation, she was admitted to a mental health facility. Her family and friends kept the public informed about her progress during this challenging time.

A month later, Dineo provided an update on her health via Instagram. She revealed that she had been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and severe chronic depression.

Battle with Hypothyroidism

Reports suggest that Dineo faced a challenging health journey that resulted in her hospitalization at Life Fourways Hospital for three days. The cause of her admission was a brain-related chronic illness triggered by stress and hypertension.

On Thursday, February 24, 2011, Dineo was admitted to the hospital and received treatment for two days. She was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, brain shrinkage, and temporal lobe epilepsy.

It is crucial to note that Dineo was not in rehab but received care at the Life Fourways Hospital. Dineo disclosed that she was initially diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 2004, and her condition remained manageable until the J&B Met incident.
