Fundiswa Zwane, affectionately known as Fundi, is a renowned South African actress and entrepreneur. Born on the 6th of June, 1985, she is currently 38 years old. Her birthplace is Port Shepstone, a town located in KwaZulu-Natal, a province in South Africa.

Early Life and Education

Growing up in Port Shepstone, Fundiswa was fondly called Fundi by her family members and friends. As a young girl, she loved to play and act with her childhood friends, which was an early indication of her passion for acting. After completing her basic education, she pursued her interest in acting by studying at a film school. Even before her enrollment, Fundi was very conscious of her talent and was actively involved in movie auditions.

Career

Fundi’s acting career took off during her third year as a film school student. Over the years, she has featured in several movies, making her a prominent figure in the South African movie industry. Some of her famous roles include Rethabile in the SABC1 Soap Opera, Generations (2009-2012), and Avumile in the SABC1 TV drama series, Divers Down (2011). She also starred in the second season of the eKasi+ series ‘Traffic!’ in 2015.

In 2011, Fundiswa worked with Gugu Zuma and Thuli Zuma to create the Mzansi Magic sitcom, Its For Life. Her most popular role came in 2018 when she joined the e.tv series, Imbewu: The Seed, where she starred as Priscilla “KaMadonsela” Bhengu. However, in 2020, she left the show and was replaced by Brenda Mhlongo, a decision that came under scrutiny by many of her fans.

Entrepreneurship

Apart from acting, Fundi is also an entrepreneur. She launched her fragrance line ‘Camagu by Fundi Zwane’ in July 2020. Additionally, she owns a YouTube channel known as Living Lit with Fundi Zwane, which she recently launched.

Personal Life

Fundi is a single mother who spends a lot of time with her daughter. She is currently in a relationship with John Paul Hartley. Despite being a public figure, she has kept the identity of her child’s father private.
