Jessica is the offspring of Jabu Nkosi and Nhlanhlayethu Ntuli. She has a sibling, Ayanda Nkosi, who is also in the acting profession.

She is wedded to Ntokozo “TK” Dlamini, a renowned actor known for his role as Mastermind in the popular South African soap opera “Uzalo.” They are parents to a daughter, Namisa Dlamini, born in 2018.


Jessica Nkosi is an alumnus of the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Performance in 2012. Initially, she aspired to become a lawyer but later switched her major due to difficulties with criminal law.

Jessica Nkosi’s acting career took flight in 2013 when she secured the role of Qondi Ngubane in the popular Mzansi Magic telenovela “Isibaya.” Her portrayal of Qondi, a naive rural girl who ascends to become the queen of the Zungu clan, received widespread praise and popularity. She remained a part of “Isibaya” for seven years before exiting the show in 2020.

In 2015, she expanded her acting portfolio by starring as Eve in the Mzansi Magic drama series “Ayeye,” which revolves around the lives of three friends employed at an advertising agency in Johannesburg.

In 2017, Jessica Nkosi ventured into television presenting. She co-hosted the BET show “A-List” with her “Isibaya” co-star, Nomzamo Mbatha. The show offered celebrity interviews, fashion trends, and entertainment news, giving audiences a thrilling glimpse into South African entertainment.

Nomzamo Mbatha and Jessica Nkosi were once close friends during their time on Isibaya. However, their friendship soured, and they became adversaries after reportedly fighting over a man. According to the Daily Sun, Jessica started dating Nomzamo’s ex-fiancé, talented Idols winner Khaya Mthethwa, eight months after their breakup. Khaya confirmed his relationship with Jessica but denied cheating on Nomzamo.

“My relationship with Jessica only started eight months after I broke up with Nomzamo. I didn’t intend to hurt anyone but we get along very well. I don’t have any type of relationship with Nomzamo.”

Regardless of what actually happened, Nomzamo cut off all contact with her former best friend and her former fiance.
