Kgomotso Christopher Biography

Kgomotso Christopher, born on the 25th of March in 1979, is a renowned actress hailing from South Africa. She is best recognized for her roles in popular television series such as “Isidingo” where she portrayed the character Katlego Sibeko, and “Scandal!” where she played the character of Yvonne “YV” Langa. In addition to her acting career, Kgomotso is also the voice behind MTN’s Interactive Voice Response system. She is married to Calvin Christopher since 2004 and they have two children together.

Education and Career

Kgomotso pursued her Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and Politics at the prestigious University of Cape Town. During her graduation, she was honored with the Jules Kramer Award for Fine Arts. Her thirst for knowledge didn’t stop there. In 2004, she moved to New York City to earn a Masters of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts at Columbia University.

After her studies, she continued to live and work in the US and UK until 2008. During this time, she made guest appearances on several television series including “Madam & Eve”, “SOS”, “Backstage”, and “Moferefere Lenyalong”. She also showcased her acting prowess in theatre productions of classic plays such as “Romeo & Juliet”, “Midsummer Night’s Dream”, “Hamlet” and “Dr. Faustus”.

On November 15, 2018, Kgomotso revealed on Instagram that she is the voice behind MTN’s Interactive Voice Response system, adding another feather to her cap.

Kgomotso’s acting career spans across television and film. Her television roles include Nox Madondo in “4Play: Sex Tips for Girls” from 2010 to 2012, Katlego Sibeko in “Isidingo” from 2011 to 2016, and a cameo in “Moferefere Lenyalong” in 2016. She also played Yvonne in “Scandal!” in 2018, Ramatla Moleleki in “Thola” in 2017, Dineo Price in “Legacy” in 2020, and Nandi in “Fatal Seduction” in 2023.

In film, she played the role of Rene in “Zulu Wedding” in 2017.

In her personal life, Kgomotso is happily married to Calvin Christopher. They tied the knot in 2004 and have been blessed with two children. Kgomotso balances her personal life and her career with grace and poise, making her an inspiration for many.

Kgomotso Christopher, along with her spouse Calvin Christopher, are the proud parents of two children. Their first child, a daughter named Larona Lehakwe Christopher, was welcomed into the world in 2008. A year later, in 2009, they were blessed with a son, Lesika Liatile Christopher.
