Khanyisani Kheswa, a name now synonymous with South African drama, was born and raised in the vibrant city of Durban. His journey into the world of acting began at J.L. Dube High School, where he matriculated in 2011. His passion for the arts led him to the Creative Arts College, where he honed his acting skills and graduated in 2015.

Just a month later, he co-starred in an Mzansi Original TV Movie on Mzansi Magic called Ntwana Yam. The plot revolves around four friends who stumble upon a gun, leading them into a world of trouble. The movie first aired on Saturday, 8 April, 2017.

Khanyisani’s breakthrough came when he landed his first starring role in television. He was cast as Mzi, a young soccer player who leaves Ladysmith to find a better life in Johannesburg, in the Mzansi Magic soccer drama Vula Vala.
