Adriano dos Santos, a businessman from Hoedspruit, Limpopo, was tragically shot dead near Hazyview in Mpumalanga on Friday morning. The 35-year-old was traveling in a white Toyota Fortuner with a driver to meet someone in Nelspruit.

Limpopo businessman shot dead

According to police spokesperson Brig Selvy Mohlala, as they were passing Hazyview, the driver reportedly received a call and stopped next to a nearby fuel station. After driving a few meters from the filling station, he stopped again on the roadside.

The Attack and Aftermath

In a shocking turn of events, an individual from a white Nissan NP200 without number plates disembarked and approached the businessman. The assailant shot dos Santos three times before fleeing the scene. The victim was left bleeding profusely while the other person in the vehicle remained unharmed.

Despite immediate attention, dos Santos was certified dead at the scene. This tragic incident has left the community in shock and mourning for the loss of a respected businessman.
