Minnie Dlamini and Quinton back together

Media personality Minenhle “Minnie” Dlamini and her former husband, Quinton Jones, are speculated to be back together. According to rumors circulating on social media platform X, the actress from “The Honeymoon” and her ex-lover, a TV producer, were recently spotted together at business tycoon Dr. Sisa Ngebulana’s birthday celebration.

Despite the absence of photographs of the ex-couple together, an image of Minnie donning her wedding ring was posted on the Instagram account of Andimahle Building Events, an event planning business owned by Londy MaZwide, who appeared in several episodes of “Real Housewives of Durban” season four.

The Journey: From Wedding Bells to Divorce Papers

Minnie and Quinton tied the knot in 2017, inviting Mzansi to join their celebration through a three-part wedding special aired on DSTV channel 1Magic. Their beautiful white and traditional wedding was attended by the country’s top celebrities.

In 2020, two years after their wedding, Minnie announced her pregnancy, and they welcomed their son, Netha Makhosini Jones, in November. Their son was named after Minnie’s late brother, Makhosini Dlamini. However, in February 2022, the couple announced their separation and impending divorce.

The Divorce Announcement

In a joint statement, they wrote, “In the last 2 years our family has experienced incredible joy and devastating loss. During this time we found comfort in knowing we had each other. After months of separation and consultations with our family and counselor, we have taken the decision to officially file for divorce. Despite the end of our marriage and romantic relationship, we remain friends, business partners, and loving parents to our beautiful son.”

Accusations and Denials: The Edwin Sodi Affair?

Following their divorce announcement, Minnie was rumored to have caused the separation due to an alleged affair with businessman Edwin Sodi. However, she dismissed these rumors as “false, damaging, and malicious,” stating that she and Quinton would be pursuing legal action.

Spousal Support Controversy

In September of the previous year, Quinton made news for reportedly seeking spousal maintenance. According to Zimoja, the businessman is allegedly demanding a monthly support of R10,000 from the TV presenter. A source close to the estranged couple claimed that the TV and radio presenter is prepared to fight tooth and nail to ensure her soon-to-be ex doesn’t benefit from her hard-earned money.
