Personal Life

Noxolo Mathula was born and raised in Durban, Kwa-Mashu, South Africa. She is speculated to be one of the 22 children of former South African president Jacob Zuma. Later, she relocated to Umhlanga Rocks with her family. She completed her education at Parkhill High school in Durban and matriculated in 2008. In 2015, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in motion pictures and live performances from AFDA Durban. Her sister is Ntombizenhlanhla Amanda Zuma.

Noxolo Mathula Biography: A look at her Career

Noxolo Mathula embarked on her professional acting career in 2018 with cameo roles in Mzansi Bioskop shows such as Abasebenzi 1 & 2 and Abo Chommee. During this time, she also appeared in the serial Ibutho. In 2019, she joined the cast of the Mzansi Magic drama serial eHostela, playing the role of “Fikephethwe”. Her performance was well-received by the audience, leading her to continue the role in both seasons of the show. Her outstanding work in eHostela earned her the Best Supporting Actress Award at the Simon Sabela Film Awards 2019.

She then joined the serial Ifalakhe, where she played the supporting role of “Phikiwe”. In 2020, she made cameo appearances in the SABC 1 soap opera Uzalo, portraying the character “Lilly”. By the end of 2020, she had become a regular cast member of the soap opera.

In addition to her acting career, Noxolo Mathula has also made her mark in the music industry. She joined Clash of the Choir and represented team KZN under the guidance of her choir master Busiswa.
