Pretty Ncayiyane Biography

Pretty Ncayiyane, also known as Pretty Ncayiyana, was born on October 12, 1994, in Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN). According to Youth Village, she grew up under the care of a single parent who did not force her to do anything. Pretty chose to pursue acting because she wanted to touch people and tell South African stories. Despite being a calm and collected person, she is known for her amazing performances.

Career

Pretty is popular among television viewers for her role as Phindile on the E.tv series Scandal! In addition to her television appearances, she has also featured in several theatre productions. In 2013, she acted in Talking Spirits at The Playhouse in Durban and AntiChrist at the Baxter Theatre in Cape Town. In 2014, she landed a leading role in Sugary Spice at Olive Tree and Stable Theatre.

Pretty’s unique style of acting and talent earned her a role on television. She first appeared on television as the lovable Ayanda on Skeem Saam. She made her debut on the SABC1 youth soapie in its fourth season in 2015 and continued to play the role in its fifth season.

In 2016, Pretty gained further fame when she was cast as Phindile in Scandal! She made her debut on the show in an episode aired in August of that year. She also landed the recurring role of Lumka in Abomama and made her debut on the Mzansi drama series on April 8, 2018.

In July 2020, Pretty appeared as a celebrity guest with Lunathi Mampofu on an episode of #Karektas, an SABC2 variety comedy series. In 2021, she landed her first starring role on TV when she was cast as Nokuthula ‘Nox’ Jele in the Mzansi Magic telenovela DiepCity. The show explores the struggles of four young women trying to make their way in the world. In the telenovela, Nokuthula tries to earn a living and provide for her family as a burglar.

Personal Life

Pretty is also known for being social and loving, as evidenced by her presence on social media. She appears to be friends with popular actress Natasha Thahane and has shared several pictures of them together. However, it is not yet confirmed if they are friends or working together.
