Lucas Ribeiro Costa was born on 9 October 1998 and celebrated his 25th birthday this year. Born in Santa Helena, Brazil, he showed his talent at a young age. He joined Pinheiros and later Valenciennes for his youth career before graduating from Valenciennes. He went on to play for many top clubs like Waasland Bereven and Beveren before signing for Mamelodi Sundowns.
