Childhood and Early Life 

Thabang was born in Tlhabane, a town in Rustenburg, located in the North West province of South Africa. His cultural roots are deeply embedded in the rich tapestry of South Africa. His parents, Jacob Lefoa and an unnamed mother, raised him in Tlhabane. At the age of five, his family relocated to Tembisa, where he has resided ever since.

Education

Thabang’s educational journey began at Rosina Sedibane Sports School and continued at the International Academy of Film and Television. Here, he refined his acting skills and nurtured his passion for the performing arts. Thabang’s thirst for knowledge was not confined to the entertainment industry. He expanded his horizons by taking business courses, which led him to entrepreneurship. He successfully founded and managed his own company for an impressive nine years. Additionally, Thabang pursued culinary arts, graduating from a Culinary School as a certified chef under the prestigious South African Chefs Association.

Acting Career 

Thabang Lefoa’s career path reflects his versatility and commitment to the arts. His acting talent was evident in his roles as Andile and Prince in the first and second seasons of the e.tv drama series “eKasi: Our Stories.”

His foray into television included a minor role in the SABC2 drama series “90 Plein Street,” where he played one of the influential comrade leaders. Thabang’s skills were also showcased in the renowned SABC1 soapie “Generations,” where he portrayed Pule, a proficient technician at the Pan African radio station.

His acting portfolio continued to expand with roles in the SABC1 drama series “Zone 14” as Julius. His career hit a high note when he landed a leading role in the short film “Full Circle,” earning him a Best Actor nomination. He also guest-starred in the SABC2 sitcom “Majakathata.” Thabang’s love for the stage led him to participate in various theatre productions and play key roles in numerous short films.
