The final season of Idols SA has unveiled its top 3 contestants: Princess MacDonald, Thabo Ndlovu, and Faith Nakana. These talented individuals are set to debut their original studio singles, recorded with JR’s Feel Good Music, in the upcoming episode. The grand finale, where they will compete head-to-head, is scheduled for November 4.

Farewell to Nkosi

It was a bittersweet moment as Nkosi exited the competition, paving the way for the Idols SA top 3 performances to commence.

Thabo Ndlovu: A Rising Star

Thabo’s collaboration with DJ Heavy K on “Inde” was met with applause from the judges. His rendition of Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” in the second round garnered positive reviews. Judge Somizi Mhlongo declared, “It’s signed, it’s sealed and it’s delivered — it’s yours!” Thabo’s final performance of Hle’s “You Are” earned him high praise and a bold statement from JR Bogopa, hinting that Thabo might have outdone the original.

Faith Nakana: A Versatile Performer

Faith’s first-round performance with Deep London’s “Piano Ngijabulise” was highly rated. His second-round choice of Bhudaza’s “Tjontjobina” was highlighted by Somizi as a golden genre for him. In the third round, his rendition of Selaelo Selota’s “Thrrr… Phaaa!” showcased his versatility and keen song choice.

Princess MacDonald: From Princess to Queen

Princess dominated the stage from her first performance with Deep London on “Hamba Wena”. Judge Thembi Seete even suggested a name change from Princess to Queen. The climax of her performance was her rendition of Rihanna’s “Russian Roulette”, which earned her compliments on her impeccable vocals. Closing the evening, her rendition of Beyoncé’s “Listen” was described as a “smart song choice” by JR.
